Tickets for WWE Money In The Bank and SmackDown went on general sale this week but you had to be quick.

The wrestling giant is bringing one of its Big 5 premium live events to The O2 in London on July 1 with SmackDown taking place in a primetime slot the night before, and it’s been revealed combo tickets sold out in just 60 seconds on Friday.

After the general sale started at midday, Scottish superstar Drew McIntyre tweeted: ‘I’ve been told tickets today sold out in one minute flat 🤯’

However, fans may still be in luck with a very limited number coming up over the next few weeks.

As reported on Twitter by the MailOnline’s Alex McCarthy, demand was so high that ‘only single holds and premium tickets will be available’ with the 20,000 capacity venue set to be bouncing this summer.

He tweeted: ‘WWE say the general sale MITB tickets sold out in ONE MINUTE today. At one point, there was over 30k WWE fans in the queue, and that was just Ticketmaster.

‘Only single holds and premium tickets will be available in the coming weeks. The O2 is going to be jumping July 1.’

The double header will see Money In the Bank will take place overseas for the first time ever hot off the heels of a record breaking Clash At The Castle show in Cardiff, Wales in September 2022.

The show will feature its two signature bouts – one for the women and one for the men – as top stars from Raw and SmackDown fight to climb the ladder and unhook the coveted briefcase.

Inside is a contract for a championship match at a time and place of the winners’ choosing anytime within the next year.

In a statement last month, Dan Ventrelle, EVP, Talent at WWE, said: ‘The O2 is one of the world’s premier venues and the perfect home for Money In The Bank. We are excited to bring one of our “Big 5” events to the UK and look forward to welcoming the WWE Universe to London on July 1.’

WWE Money In The Bank is coming to The O2 in London on July 1, 2023. SmackDown will take place at the same venue the previous night (June 30). Anyone without a ticket will be able to watch on the WWE Network or BT Sport.
