Now that pubs across the capital have closed as part of England’s month-long lockdown, many Londoners will be missing the comforting weekend ritual of meeting a friend for a drink.
But all is not lost – in lockdown 2.0, we’re allowed to meet one person from another household outdoors for recreation, and plenty of pubs are now offering takeaway drinks.
We’ve done the hard work for you and rounded up some of London’s best-loved pubs that are still selling freshly poured takeaway pints, along with hot drinks and food.
Even better, they’re all located near parks and green spaces, so you can sit and enjoy your drink while taking in some beautiful scenery.

Just make sure you wrap up warm…
People’s Park Tavern
Long-time Hackney favourite People’s Park Tavern’s beer garden may be closed, but who needs outdoor seating when you’ve got the huge Victoria Park on your doorstep?
Grab a freshly pulled pint and head to the lakeside, where you can indulge in some excellent dog-spotting.
The Sympathetic Ear
Based in Brixton, this little pub is offering takeaway draught by the litre, or you can bring in your own growler for them to fill up. They also promise that new drinks will be available every week throughout lockdown.
Take your drinks to Brockwell Park, just a three-minute walk away, and enjoy a wander around the pretty walled garden.
The Mall Tavern
Notting Hill pub The Mall Tavern is set just off the edge of Hyde Park, and is offering draught beer, bottles of wine and prosecco to take away – perfect for a winter picnic.
You can even pick up its famous Sunday roast if you fancy going all out.
Clissold Park Tavern
This North London institution is perched right on the edge of – you guessed it – Clissold Park, so you can sip your drink while taking in some spectacular autumnal views. If you want to get into the festive spirit, try their delicious mulled wine – and there’s mulled cider and hot toddies on offer, too.
The Dove
Set in the heart of Broadway Market, The Dove is the place to go if you’re looking for a drink to sip as you sit in London Fields, watching the world go by.
Its food offering is excellent too, and it’s available for takeaway with no need to pre-order – try the delicious Pad Thai.
