A young boy has been hit by a bus in south London after the school rush.

The 14-year-old was rushed to hospital after being struck in Eltham High Street at 3.50pm on Monday.

Pictures from the scene show crowds of schoolchildren at the scene of the busy high street.

Two ambulances and a first response team rushed to the scene. The area is cordoned off, leaving buses diverted for an extended period.
