A London hospital saw a heavy police presence today after a man was ‘acting aggressively’.
Kingston Hospital saw more than a dozen officers appear at the NHS facility, after it was initially reported there was a confrontation in the A&E department.
It is believed that a man had been acting aggressively prior to being transported to court.
A spokesperson for Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust said: ‘As has been reported in some media outlets, police presence earlier today did not result in a lockdown or incident at the hospital.
‘Patient and staff safety is a priority for us at Kingston Hospital, in our Emergency Department and across our services.’
