Neighbours’ shock after ‘lovely’ mum stabbed to death in east London home

Neighbours have spoken of their devastation after the mother of a ‘lovely’ family was stabbed to death in her east London home.

Agne Druskienea, 40, was found suffering knife injuries at her family home in Havering, east London.

Police responded to reports of the stabbing in Cranham Road, Hornchurch at 1.04am on Saturday, 18 October.

Agne, believed to be a mother, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

A neighbour told Metro that police had closed down the street since early Saturday morning.

He said: ‘I am completely shocked. It has really upset me. They seemed like a lovely family.

‘I would take in parcels for them when they weren’t in and they were always very grateful.

‘I would see the mother take the little ones to school in the morning. And the dad taking out the bins on a Wednesday.

‘They’ve lived here for more than three years. It is so sad. I was wondering what the hell was going on.

‘Forensics officers in their white suits have been here since Saturday morning, it’s been like watching a TV show out of the window.’

Floral tributes were left outside her home.

One had a card attached which said: ‘I can’t believe I won’t see you again. The angels took you too soon it’s so unfair.’

Another said: ‘We are praying for you all.’

A neighbour told Metro: ‘We are devastated. She was a lovely woman, a bright spark and very popular. They looked like the perfect family.’

Her husband, Augustinas Druskis, 43, was arrested and will appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court charged with her murder on Monday.

A Met spokesman said: ‘Agne’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.’
