A nine-year-old girl has died two days after she was involved in a bus crash in south-east London.
Police were called to Watling Street in Bexleyheath shortly after 9am on Saturday after two children were hit by a bus.
The nine-year-old was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries, but she died in hospital on Monday afternoon.
Another child, the girl’s five-year-old brother, was also taken to hospital as a precaution.
Both children were with a family member at the time of the collision, and their family is being supported by specialist officers.
The bus driver was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving and drug-driving.
He has been bailed to a date in early November pending further enquiries.
