In a video message shared on behalf of Comic Relief, Sir David cheered on the former Lioness as she took on an ultramarathon distance 38.5 mile run, into Manchester on Wednesday.
Setting off on Monday from London’s Wembley Stadium, the former Manchester City midfielder is making her way north to Sunderland’s Stadium Of Light over the course of the five-day, 388-mile, fundraising challenge.
Beckham said: “I just wanted to wish you the best of luck for your incredible Coming Home Challenge for Sport Relief.
“Knowing you, your determination and spirit will carry you all of the way from Wembley back home to Sunderland.
“It’s an amazing journey you’re undertaking, and such an important one too, raising money to help projects and communities that make such a difference in people’s lives.
“You’ve inspired so many already and I know the whole country will be behind you every step and pedal of the way.
“Good luck, Jill, and you’ve got this.”
Scott appeared surprised at the end of the video and said: “Thank you, Becks.

“That’s so lovely. As if David Beckham knows about my challenge, that is crazy.”
Scott set off on Monday morning and completed a 112-mile bike ride to Villa Park followed by a 99-mile ride to Everton Hill Dickinson Stadium on Tuesday where she was joined by former Lioness Carly Telford.
Day four will see the former footballer take on a Tour de France-style 111-mile cycle to the North East and complete the challenge on Friday with a 28-mile marathon finish to the Stadium of Light.
