London bus users, be warned – there are more strikes on the way as part of continuing union action.

Hundreds of drivers walked out on Christmas Eve and December 27, but there will be further action on the final day of 2022 and into the New Year. Strike action continues from today (December 31).

So what is the situation with the London Underground when these strikes are happening?

Here’s all you need to know.

Are Tubes running today amid London bus strike?

Yes. Tube services in the capital are expected to run as close to normal as possible on December 31.

However, it is worth noting that Tubes may be busier than usual, as bus commuters are forced to take alternative routes.

You can get all the latest news on travel disruptions on the TfL website or its strike section.

Keep in mind that on bus strike dates January 4 and 5, there are various major train strikes happening at the same time.

Most services are due to continue to run on these dates, though you can expect disruption to the London Overground and the Elizabeth Line.

Parts of the Tube, including sections of the Circle Line, District Line and Bakerloo Line, will also be affected.

When is the next bus strike?

The current list of bus strikes is scheduled for:

  • Saturday, December 31
  • Wednesday, January 4
  • Thursday, January 5
  • Tuesday, January 10
  • Thursday, January 12
  • Monday, January 16
  • Thursday, January 19
  • Wednesday, January 25
  • Thursday, January 26.

Routes affected by the bus strikes are run by Abellio and largely cover South and West London. If you think you might be affect, you can see a full list of the affected buses on the TfL website.

Note that other routes from other bus companies are expected to run as normal.
