A £200,000 Aston Martin was destroyed in a golf club car park after a vandal smashed the windows and spray-painted ‘CHEATER’ on the bonnet.

A man wearing a baseball cap was seen destroying the 2015 Vanquish at Hampton Court Palace Golf Club in southwest London on Monday.

Footage shows the man, whose identity is not known, walking away from the vehicle before panning to show the extent of the damage.

The witness who took the footage described seeing a masked man pull a hammer from his rucksack before he smashed the windows, the lights, and tore the roof open.

The attacker also sprayed what appears to be the word ‘CHEATER’ in white across the bonnet of the black car, which has the personalised numberplate ‘BD55 BOB’.

The rear-wheel drive car has a V12 5.9-litre engine, a top speed of 201 mph and can go from 0-62 mph in 3.6 seconds. It can sell for up to £192,000 brand new.

The Metropolitan Police said: ‘Police were called at around 14:00hrs on Monday, 25 May to reports of criminal damage to a vehicle at a sports club in Dillon Close, Molesey.

‘Officers attended and searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

‘No arrests have been made, and enquiries continue.’
