Passengers on the Elizabeth line should brace for delays and cancellations after a train broke down on the tracks.
Morning journeys have been upended after an Elizabeth line train broke down at London Paddington.
The fault wreaked havoc on the entire line before the incident was cleared shortly before 2pm.
The stretch between Paddington and Abbey Wood was suspended, while the rest of the line has severe delays.
National Rail warned of cancellations and delays of up to 40 minutes, including to Heathrow Airport.
It said: ‘An Elizabeth line train has come to a stand with a fault in a platform at London Paddington station. As a result, services to / from / through this station may be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 25 minutes.’
The issue was expected to be resolved by midday, National Rail said.
All lines reopened shortly after 10am, but trains could still be affected as the service recovers.

Passengers caught in the disruption took to social media to vent.
Louie described the Elizabeth line as ‘useless half the time.’
One passenger said: ‘Really ideal the Elizabeth Line being suspended on a Friday at rush hour.’
He told Metro that the issues this morning added ‘an hour onto my journey.’
Another person wrote: ‘One thing that royally pisses me off about our glorious country… trains. You get on an Elizabeth line stopping service and then half way through the journey, they bypass your stop because they have randomly turned it into a direct train to Paddington!’
Elsewhere, the Bakerloo and Jubilee lines have minor delays because of train cancellations.
The Lioness Overground line is out of action between Kilburn High Road and London Euston after a signal failure.
Londoners are bracing for a week of disruption as a planned Tube strike is set to shut down travel in the capital next week.
All of the London Underground will be paralysed between Monday and Thursday if the planned strike goes ahead.
The Elizabeth line, Overground and trams are set to operate as usual, but are likely to be extremely busy, TfL warned.
