National Rail says Elizabeth line tickets will be accepted on other services
Following delays and cancellations on the Elizabeth line, it has tweeted alternative services tickets will be accepted on.
It said: “#HeathrowTerminals – Elizabeth line tickets will be accepted on the following routes at no extra cost:
– London Underground on the Piccadilly line
– Local buses between Hayes & Harlington and Heathrow
– Great Western Railway between London Paddington Reading
– South Western Railway between London Waterloo and Reading”
Heathrow Express limits services
Heathrow Express limits services to both directions due to a fire next to the track.
This is causing delays across the whole line.
The disruption is expected to last at least until midday.
Here are the affected routes:
- Heathrow Express between Heathrow Terminal 5 and London Paddington
- Elizabeth line between Heathrow Terminal 5 and Shenfield
Severe delays on the rest of the Elizabeth line
The Elizabeth line is part suspended between Hayes & Harlington and Heathrow Terminals while it responds to a fire alert in the Heathrow area.
There are now severe delays on the rest of the line as a result between Paddington and Reading.
Social media users confused about cancellations on the Elizabeth line
Users have taken to social media to complain about the cancellations and delays happening on the Elizabeth line.
One user tweeted: “Good morning the Elizabeth line has been cancelled this morning is the Heathrow express running?”
While a third said: “Trains not running to @HeathrowAirport due to a ‘fire’ via our driver on the @TfL Elizabeth Line.”
A fourth asked: “I have a question: I am stuck on the Elizabeth Line and going back to our previous stop as apparently there is a fire on the tracks at Heathrow. Would you please give more info about the situation and how to get to Heathrow T3.”
Elizabeth line part suspended due to fire alert in the Heathrow area
Elizabeth line is currently providing no service between Hayes & Harlington and Heathrow Terminals while it responds to a fire alert in the Heathrow area.
There is a good service on the rest of the line.
Train failure blocking lines on the Great Western Railway
A train failure is currently blocking the line between Reading / Aldershot and Guildford.
As a result, trains running between Reading /Aldershot and Guildford may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.
Your ticket will be accepted, at no extra cost to yourself, on the South Western Railway services via any reasonable route.
Great Western Railway between Reading and Redhill / Gatwick Airport
South Western Railway between Farnham and Guildford
Delays to trains for Stansted Airport and Cambridge
Lines have now reopened following urgent repairs to the track between Bishops Stortford and Stansted Mountfitchet.
While service recovers, trains running between Stansted Airport/Cambridge and Liverpool Street Station may still be cancelled or revised.
Limited accessible replacement buses will operate between Bishops Stortford and Stansted Airport.
The disruption is expcted until 8am.
Serious delays on the A406
Traffic is slow on approach with traffic back towards Brent Cross Interchange.
The delay is due to lane one being closed westbound for emergency gas works.
Severe delays on the Jubilee line
The Jubilee line is reporting severe delays due to an earlier faulty train.
London Buses, Mildmay line, DLR, Elizabeth line, C2C, Southeastern and Thameslink are accepting tickets.
There is a good service on all other trains.
London Overground travel disruptions expected this week
There will be some planned maintenance along the Overground the course of the next four days. Fortunately, none are planned for any Underground lines, though unforeseen disruptions could still occur.
From Tuesday through Thursday, there are no Weaver line trains from Hackney Downs to Chingford after 10.45pm.
A train replacement bus will travel through Clapton, St James Street, Walthamstow Central, Wood Street, and Highams Park on its way from Hackney Downs to Chingford.
The Suffragette service from Barking Riverside to Gospel Oak ends at Upper Holloway on Friday at 11:03pm.
On Friday, the 11.17pm Richmond to Willesden Junction train will not run, and the 9.59pm Stratford to Richmond train will stop at Camden Road.
