Waterloo Underground station is closed this morning after an evening of intense disruption.
Commuters were thrown into chaos last night after a person was killed on the tracks around 3pm.
Services were delayed by more than 100 minutes, and continued to run behind schedule for the rest of the evening.
A fire on a train at Wandsworth Town also caused further disruption between London Waterloo, Barnes and Wimbledon.
This morning the station’s London Underground services has been closed to fix faulty fire equipment, with tickets being accepted on London buses instead.
There are also severe delays on Elizabeth Line services between Paddington and Reading, Heathrow Terminal 4 and 5.
This is due to a fault with overhead power lines at Southall.
National Rail said: ‘There has been damage to the overhead electric wires between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport / Reading, which is causing disruption to journeys between these stations.
‘As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 50 minutes or revised.
‘This is expected to continue until 12:00.’
