The parents of a teenage girl knocked down and killed by a car in north London have paid tribute to their “beautiful, generous” daughter.
Victoria Carson, 13, was hit by a car on Longmore Avenue in Barnet on June 29 at around 9.30pm. She was rushed to hospital but died at around 11pm.
Her sister, 15, was at the scene when the crash took place and was “shocked but physically uninjured”, police said.
Parents Gary and Roxanna Carson said: “Our family is devastated at the loss of our beautiful daughter, Victoria, who gave so much joy and delight to our lives.
“Victoria was loved dearly by so many of her friends with whom she shared many interests, especially caring for cats and playing tennis.
“We will deeply miss Victoria’s smile, her laugh and her energy, but our beautiful, generous daughter will forever remain in our hearts.”
Gardene De Carvalho, 41, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Police continue to investigate and have appealed to anyone with information to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 020 8246 9820.
