Two men, aged 25 and 34, are in a critical condition following a suspected quadruple stabbing in London.
Paramedics alerted police at about 3.15am on Sunday after two men presented themselves at a south London hospital with stab wounds.
One of them, a 34-year-old man, is in a critical condition, while a wounded 27-year-old man is not thought to have sustained life-threatening injuries.
Earlier that morning, a fight took place in Holborn where officers believe the men sustained their injuries.
At about 3.30am, officers pulled over on a road close to the crime scene in Holborn after spotting a car parked with its hazard lights on.
Inside the car they found two men, both 25, suffering with stab injuries and were rushed to hospital.
One of the men is fighting for his life in hospital. The other has been discharged and arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
Police said the investigation is in its early stages but that both incidents are being treated as linked to the fight in Holborn.
A crime scene remains in place and drivers have been asked to take an alternative route.
