Taylor Swift fans have had their first taste of the chaos that is to come with nabbing tickets to her eagerly-anticipated Eras tour in the UK.
Swifties hoping to bag themselves the highly sought-after tickets during yesterday’s Midnights album pre-sale were hit by outages on both Ticketmaster and AXS as well as staggering online queues.
Pre-sale for the plethora of dates, with Paramore as supporting guests, continues today with general sale kicking off next week – and it’s going to be like The Hunger Games.
Ahead of time, many fans of the Black Space singer will be finding out everything they need to know to put them in the best place to get themselves to one of the dates – including how many tickets they can buy.
Here’s what you need to know.
How many Taylor Swift tickets can you buy?
If you manage to beat the queues and get through to selecting tickets, you will only be able to purchase a maximum of four tickets.
Groups of more than four will need to have multiple people purchasing tickets – though demand is, of course, high so you’ll need to act fast.
Ticketmaster has said that they have restricted the number of tickets you are allowed purchase at check-out to four so that all fans have a fair chance of getting to see Swift live.
They’ve also limited the number of tickets that you can buy in a bid to stop ticket touting and bots from buying large numbers of tickets.
If you didn’t know already, these are the dates that the Enchanted hitmaker will be performing on our shores:
Full Taylor Swift UK dates
- Edinburgh, Murrayfield Stadium – June 7, 8, and 9 2024

- London, Wembley Stadium – June 21, 22, and 23, and August 15, 16 and 17, 2024
Registration for Taylor Swift tickets in the UK is now closed, but those who did register will receive an email by 11.59pm on Friday, July 14 telling them whether they have been assigned an access code.
The access code will give fans the chance to enter pre-sale for the chance to buy some of the coveted tickets – but an access code does not guarantee you will actually get some.
Those that receive one will be given timing details for when the tickets go on sale and a link to where the sale will take place.

Fans that pre-ordered Taylor’s Midnights album last year were given the chance to nab tickets in the exclusive Midnights sale, leading to outages on Ticketmaster and AXS for frustrated users.
For those that didn’t get themselves a prized presale access code, they will need to try their luck during general sale next week.
Though it’s proved to be a complex way to buy tickets, it is hoped this method will help stop bots and ticket touts getting their hands on them to resell before general sale.
