A second Spanish region will go into lockdown following a fresh coronavirus outbreak.

Some 70,000 people in La Marini, north of Lugo in Galicia, will be barred from leaving the area from midnight tonight, except in exceptional circumstances.

It comes after Catalan authorities in El Segria, around the city of Lleida, imposed a new lockdown in response to a spike in cases .
