A teenager has been critically injured in a stabbing in east London.
The 15-year-old was attacked in Ilford Lane at around 3.20pm, just as children were leaving schools in the area.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital where he was said to be fighting for his life.
Medical equipment, including an oxygen cannister, were pictured at the scene next to a bus that had been taken out of service while it was searched for evidence.
Scotland Yard said it is ‘still working to understand the circumstances’ of the attack.
Part of Ilford Lane was closed off with a police cordon in place, as officers continue to investigate the circumstances.
