A pedicab has burst out in flames outside Buckingham Palace.

Emergency services rushed to the Palace at about 12.43pm today after the vehicle burst in flames on Spur Road in London next to a pedestrian crossing.

A road closure is in place while the London Fire Brigade is making the area safe.

Video shows the rickshaw burning up in flames like a bonfire as explosions are heard.

Thick smoke billowed into the air and the police put a cordon around the area just yards away from Buckingham Palace.

It appears the vehicle is a pedicab and not an e-bike.

The Met Police said: ‘At 12:43 on Saturday, 30 March police were informed of a pedicab on fire on Spur Road, SW1.

‘A road closure is in place while London Fire Brigade respond.

‘No injuries were reported. The fire is not believed to be suspicious or deliberate.’
