igel Farage has said a second term of Donald Trump will see a “radical” US President “with the straightjacket removed.”

The Brexit Party leader said Mr Trump would “really take on the swamp” and be “unconstrained in every single way” if he remains in the White House.

Mr Farage also claimed that Mr Trump had been “spied upon and leaked against” during his presidency, praising the president’s “courage and intensity”.

Mr Trump has already declared victory in his fight for a second term against former Vice President Joe Biden, saying he is poised to ask the Supreme Court to halt all vote-counting even as ballots remain untallied.  The outcome of the election is too close to call.

Mr Farage told ITV News said: “Oh I think a Donald Trump second term is Donald Trump with a straightjacket removed. It’s Donald Trump able to keep the promises he’s made to the electorate in America. And I think his second term will really take on the swamp.

“If there is a failure from the first term… it’s that he’s not really been able to drain the swamp. I think in terms of the FBI and many of the other government agencies, Donald Trump term two is going to see a much more radical president, unconstrained in every single way.

“And maybe – just maybe – he can make Americans believe that Washington is no longer working against them.”

Reform UK, said the civil service had a political agenda to work against Brexit.

He added: “Trump has been spied upon, he’s been leaked against.

“What the man has put up with over the last four years – the fact that he’s managed to stick to the course he is on – tells me about the level of his courage and integrity.

“And I think heads will roll inside the Washington swamp, inside the big government agencies, with Donald Trump term two because he will have nothing to fear.”

He said: “Millions of people voted for us tonight.

“A very sad group of people is trying to disenfranchise that group of people, and we won’t stand for it.”

“Frankly, we did win this election,” Mr Trump said to cheering supporters.

“We want the law to be used in a proper manner, so we’ll be going to the US Supreme Court. We want all voting to stop,” Mr Trump added. “We don’t want them finding any ballots at four in the morning and adding them to the list.”
