England will get an open top bus parade through London if they manage to bring football home at the Euro 2024 final this Sunday.

The Three Lions will take part in a parade through the capital before meeting King Charles and other members of the royal family at Buckingham Palace if they manage to win the tournament.

And there’s even talk of introducing a new bank holiday if England lifts the trophy.

Preparations for the parade are already underway in case England manages to beat Spain in the finals on Sunday.

But what exactly is the parade route?

England’s potential Euro 2024 parade route mapped

It would take Gareth Southgate’s squad from Guildhall in the City of London, past St Paul’s, through Trafalgar Square before heading down The Mall to Buckingham Palace for a royal reception.

Prince William, who is president of the FA, could lead the royal reception, the Evening Standard reports.

And if it goes ahead it’s predicted that up to a million footie fans could line the parade route to welcome the team home.

The open top bus parade would kick off two days of celebrations on Monday with the team also lined up to meet prime minster Sir Keir Starmer at Downing Street.

Sir Keir is expected to travel to Berlin to watch the game on Sunday, where the England men’s team could win their first major trophy since 1966.

In 1966, the Queen presented the World Cup trophy to England captain Bobby Moore at Wembley stadium.

They’re hoping to go one step further than Euro 2020, when they reached the finals but lost to Italy on penalties.

England booked their place in the final after they knocked out the Netherlands in Wednesday’s semi-final.

Ollie Watkins put a winner in the back of the net in the 90th minute sparking wild celebrations from fans watching in the stadium and at home.

But the plans have drawn anger from Lioness supporters, as the England women’s team won the 2022 Euros against Germany but were denied a victory bus parade.
