A 50-year-old man has died in hospital five days after an assault outside a pub in south-east London.
Stuart Tickner suffered head injuries in the incident on Station Road, Sidcup, around 1am on Monday, May 25 and was taken to hospital, where he died five days later.
His daughter Megan Tickner confirmed his death in a tribute to him on Facebook, saying: “It is with a heavy heart and immense sadness that I am having to share that we lost my Dad on Saturday May 30.
“A week ago, he was unfortunately a victim of a serious assault which left him with head injuries which were so severe he could not recover from them.
“He lit up any room he walked into and was a bubbly, joyful soul. I will cherish the memories of us going to concerts together and singing karaoke.
“I’ll love and miss you always Dad.”
A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after he went to hospital on May 26.
