A man involved in a fatal crash onto Tube tracks in London was remanded in custody after his family did not raise £250,000 for bail, it has been reported.

Rida Kazem was charged with causing death by dangerous driving after his Range Rover smashed into a Tesla parked in a dealership by Park Royal station, ended up on the rail tracks.

The 23-year-old, of Greenford, London, appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court yesterday in a wheelchair after having his leg amputated, the Daily Mail reported.

He was also charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to provide a sample of blood.

Yagmur Ozden, 33, who was behind the wheel in the Tesla, was killed in the horror crash on August 22.

The mum-of-one died at the scene after being ejected from the rear seat of the car.

An inquest opening was told she died from blunt force trauma.

Another passenger in the Range Rover was also taken to hospital following the crash with non-life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, Kazem suffered major injuries and spent weeks in a coma at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington.

His family had until 4pm to deposit the quarter of a million pounds to keep the jewellery manager out of custody.

But they informed the court they could not raise the staggering amount.

Kazem will next appear at the Old Bailey for a pre-trial hearing.
