A murder investigation is underway after a man died in a south London flat on Friday evening.
The 59-year-old was found with knife wounds and head injuries at an address off Reddown Road, Coulsdon, at around 9.30pm.
Despite paramedics being called he could not be save and was pronounced dead at the scene a short while later just after 10pm.
A 30-year-old man was arrested close to the scene on suspicion of murder.
The suspect complained of being ‘unwell’ while in custody and was taken to hospital.
Scotland Yard said the victim’s next-of-kin have been informed, and that a post-mortem examination will take place in the coming days.
