The London Underground is experiencing severe delays this morning after a points failure at Golders Green.

The Northern line currently has severe delays between Golders Green and Edgware northbound, and minor delays between Edgware and Camden Town southbound.

TfL are currently trying to fix the points failure and say there is good service on the rest of the line.

Meanwhile, there are planned part closures in effect on the Piccadilly line and the London Overground.

Southbound services from Willesden Junction to Shepherds Bush started late this morning, and the first services to Clapham Junction are disrupted.

There is also no service between Wood Green and Cockfosters, or between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge, until September 1.

Rail disruption through Cambridge

There has been a points failure at the Cambridge depot which means all Greater Anglia routes through the city are currently disrupted.

National Rail says the disruption is expected to last until 7am – not a great start for commuters.

It warns trains could be cancelled, delayed or revised, and advises people to allow extra time for their journey.
