Passengers vent anger after Euston delays
People have spoken of their fury after the train derailment cause widespread delays on trains out of Euston.
One user on X posted of “total chaos” and sia d the train derailment had made “the whole system fall apart”.
Services to be affected through Friday as works carried out
On top of the chaos on trains out of Euston this evening, rail bosses have warned services will be affected throughout Friday.
Passengers are being advised to check the latest before they travel.
Euston station ‘overcrowding’ warning as passenger flows into station controlled
London Euston has issued an alert to passengers wanting to use the station.
In a post on X, rail bosses said the station was “extremely busy this evening because of multiple incidents on the West Coast Main Line.
“To keep everyone safe, we’re carefully managing the flow of passengers entering the station .”
Trespass incident on line from London Victoria and Brighton
Lines have now reopened following a trespass incident between Brighton and Worthing, National Rail said.
Trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 15 minutes or revised until 7pm.
Routes affected include London Victoria and Littlehampton, and also between Brighton and Chichester, Portsmouth & Southsea and Southampton Central.
Tree blocks rail lines at Amersham
National Rail says lines between London Marylebone and Aylesbury Vale Parkway have now reopened following a tree blocking the railway at Amersham.
A spokesman adds disruption is expected until 6.30pm.
However, whilst service recovers trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.
Replacement buses requested after train derails
National Rail says replacement buses have been requested to run between Bletchley and Northampton after the derailment in the Milton Keynes Central area.
“We will provide further information once more is known,” a spokesman said.
‘Major disruption’ after train derails
Passengers are being warned of “major disruption” after a train derailed, causing several lines to be closed.
London Northwestern Railway said the “lows speed” derailment occurred in the Bletchley area near Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire.
The incident is causing major disruption on Avanti West Coast and London Northwestern trains out of Euston.
Step-free access restored at Moorgate/Liverpool St
Step-free access has been restored at Moorgate/Liverpool Street having been unavailable since yesterday.
Victoria line subject to minor delays
There are minor delays on the Victoria line following a signal failure at Walthamstow Central.
Meanwhile, delays on the District line have cleared with trains operating as normal.
