Commuter chaos expected this evening as Euston disruption now due to last all day

The ongoing disruption to trains to and from Euston, Clapham Junction, and Watford Junction, is now due to last until the end of the day, says National Rail.

It’s unfortunately bound to spell bad news for commuters during the evening rush-hour.

Southern trains are unable to run between Shepherds Bush and Watford Junction “until further notice”.

Meanwhile some trains between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly have been cancelled until the end of the day.

National Rail warns other services may be cancelled, or delayed by up to 45 minutes.

London Overground hit by severe delays

There are severe delays on the London Overground while TfL staff help a person who has fallen in on board a train at Whitechapel.

The delays are affecting services between West Croydon and Highbury & Islington/Clapham Junction/Crystal Palace/New Cross.

Disruption to and from West Croydon expected until 10am

A fault with the signalling system at West Croydon means trains have to run at reduced speed on some lines towards London, says National Rail.

Trains running to/from the station may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Disruption is expected until 10am.

London Overground services between Highbury & Islington and West Croydon are affected.

Southern trains between London Victoria and West Croydon/Epsom Downs/Epsom are also affected.

Metropolitan Line delays end

There are now no delays on the Metropolitan Line -. A good service is running across the line, says TfL.

Minor delays persist on the Central Line, while the Piccadilly Line remains part-suspended.

Minor delays on Central and Metropolitan lines

In good news for commuters, the earlier severe delays on the Metropolitan Line have now been downgraded to minor.

The delays are affecting the stretch between Wembley Park and Aldgate.

There are also minor delyas on the Central Line between Leytonstone and Epping/Hainault.

The Piccadilly Line remains suspended in northwest London, between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge.

Piccadilly Line part-suspended

There is currently no service on the Piccadilly Lin between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge due to a points failure at Uxbridge.

There is a good service on the rest of the line, says TfL.

Passengers travelling beyond Rayners Lane are advised to change at that station, onto the Metropolitan Line.

Severe delays on Metropolitan Line

There are severe delays on the Metropolitan Line between Wembley Park and Aldgate due to a faulty train at Baker Street, says TfL.

There is currently a good service on the rest of the line.

Trains to and from Euston to be disrupted all morning

Damage to overhead wires is causing chaos for commuters this morning.

Trains between London Euston, Clapham Junction and Watford Junction are cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes, says National Rail.
