A bus driver was left with serious facial injuries after being punched in the face by a man in an unprovoked attack.

The attacker boarded the bus in Lambeth, south west London, just before 12pm on July 20, shortly after the driver had been involved in an argument with a biker at a set of traffic lights.

He approached the 43-year-old driver, who was taking a break at the time, and punched him in the face.

The victim attended hospital where he was treated for serious facial injuries.

Police have now released images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the assault.

PC Nick Kortright said: ‘This was a completely unprovoked attack which has left the victim with an eye injury. As a professional driver, this is clearly of significant concern to him.

‘I would urge anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV stills to contact us.’

Anyone with information should call 101.
