A 15-year-old girl and a 28-year-old woman have been arrested after a man died after being found stabbed by the side of a road in Birmingham.
West Midlands Police said officers were called just before 5pm on Saturday to reports of a man slumped near the busy junction of Bristol Road and Mill Pool Way in Bournbrook, with a stab wound to his chest.
The man was taken to hospital but pronounced dead shortly after 6pm.
A murder investigation has been launched, police said.
The girl and the woman were arrested at the scene and remain in custody.
Police said Bristol Road has been closed in order to preserve “crucial evidence”.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “We’re appealing for witnesses and would urge anyone who was in Mill Pool Way at around the time to get in touch as they may hold vital information.”
They urged people to call 101 or message via the Live Chat on the website, quoting 3112 from August 22.
