A woman has told a London court her life was saved by Barron Trump when he witnessed her being attacked by her ex-boyfriend.

The US President’s son contacted police in the UK after picking up a FaceTime call and seeing Matvei Rumianstev allegedly hitting the woman, who cannot be named.

It is claimed that Rumianstev, 22, was jealous of her friendship with Donald Trump’s youngest son.

Jurors at Snaresbrook crown court heard a recording of his dramatic 999 call. He did not give his name, but told an operator: ‘I just got a call from a girl I know. She’s getting beaten up’.

After giving her address, he adds: ‘It’s really an emergency, please. I got a call from her with a guy beating her up.’

When police arrived, footage from bodyworn cameras showed them telling her someone in the US had called.

She told them: ‘I’m friends with Barron Trump – Donald Trump’s son.’

One officer tells a colleague: ‘So apparently this informant from America is likely to be Donald Trump’s son.

‘This female is friends with Donald Trump’s son. She was on a FaceTime with him when this assault happened and he’s called us.’

When they ask her to phone him to confirm, she is heard saying: ‘Hello, Barron – did you call the police or anything?’

Barron replies: ‘I had someone call the police.’

Then he tells officers: ‘She called me. I picked up the phone expecting a nice hello or something.

‘I just saw a ceiling and could hear screaming. I could see a guy’s head on the phone, and then the camera turns to her crying and getting hit.’

What Barron Trump told UK police in 999 call

Operator: City of London Police how can I help you?

Barron: Oh I’m calling from the US, uh I just got a call from a girl, you know, she’s getting beat up. The address is [Redacted].

This was happening about eight minutes ago. I just figured out how to, how to call someone.

Uh, uh, it’s really an emergency.

Operator: What’s her name?

Barron: Her name is [Redacted].

Operator: Her date of birth?

Barron: It’s really an emergency, please.

Operator: How do you know her?

Barron: I mean these details don’t matter, she’s getting beat up like I…

Operator: Yeah I know but I need to take information from you so how have you come by this information?

Barron: Uh I got a call from her with a guy beating her up.

Operator: Okay how do you know her?

Barron: I don’t think these details matter she’s getting beat up but okay fine, also I met her on social media, I don’t think that matters.

Operator: You know I can…

Barron: She’s getting beat up!

Operator: Can you stop being rude and actually answer my questions. If you want to help the person, you’ll answer my questions clearly and precisely, thank you. So how do you know her?

Barron: I met her on social media.

Operator: OK.

Operator: Know the partners name or the person that’s beating her up at all?

Barron: No.

Operator: And they’re at home, they’re not out into the street?

Barron: Correct. She’s getting really badly beat up and the call was about 8 minutes ago, I don’t know what could have happened by now.

Operator: OK.

Barron: Sorry for being rude.

Explaining the call lasted ten to 15 seconds, he adds: ‘I called you guys – that was the best thing I could do. I wasn’t going to call back and threaten things to him because that would just make the situation worse.’

At one point during the call, Barron is admonished for his responses.

The call handler told him: ‘Can you stop being rude and actually answer my questions? If you want to help the person you’ll answer my questions clearly and precisely, thank you. So how do you know her?’

He replied: ‘I met her on social media. She’s getting really badly beat up and the call was about eight minutes ago, I don’t know what could have happened by now.’

Then he adds: ‘So sorry for being rude.’

The woman, who cannot be named, had been in a relationship with Russian Rumiantsev, 22, for six months at the time of the alleged attack last January, jurors heard.

He was said to be jealous of her friendship with 6ft 7in Barron and flew into a rage after he had tried to call her earlier, prosecutors said.

He then answered a FaceTime call to her from the president’s son, showed Barron her face then grabbed her hair and pushed her to the floor yelling ‘You are not worth anything,’ it was said.

She claims he strangled her, called her a ‘slut and a whore’ and kicked her in the stomach when she was on the floor.

Months later, she told police former MMA fighter Rumiantsev had raped her twice – once the previous November, then hours before the 2.23am attack.

Rumiantsev, of Poplar, east London, denies assault, ABH, two counts of rape, intentional strangulation and perverting the course of justice by pressuring her to withdraw her complaints.

But defence barrister Sasha Wass KC called the woman’s account of the night a ‘complete fabrication’.

She suggested Rumiantsev had restrained her after she became ‘angry and violent’ and challenged her claim that Barron’s call saved her life.

But the woman insisted: ‘He helped save my life. That call was like a sign from God at that moment.’

She told jurors Barron ‘would call me’ and that she missed ‘a few’ from him before a call got through, giving her the chance to get up after being ‘on my knees begging’.

The barrister told her: ‘You invented this wholly untrue, fabricated account that he raped you on those two occasions – you were never raped.’

The woman replied: ‘I didn’t invent that. That would be completely evil and disgraceful toward people who have been in that situation.’

The trial continues.
