A
man is fighting for life in hospital after being repeatedly stabbed in east London.
The attack took place on Longbridge Road, Barking on Friday.
A police statement said: “We are currently on scene at Longbridge Road, Barking responding to a serious assault where a male has received stab wounds. A crime scene is in place.
“The victim is currently in a critical condition at an east London hospital.”
Officers have dispatched extra patrols on the streets following the stabbing under a Section 60 order.
A Section 60 authority has been put in place.
