Searches ongoing at Royal Lodge
Thames Valley Police confirmed in its statement that officers had finished searching Andrew’s home on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
However, searches at his former address, the Royal Lodge in Windsor, Berkshire, are ongoing.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor released under investigation, Thames Valley Police say
In a statement, Thames Valley Police said: “Thames Valley Police is able to provide an update in relation to an investigation into the offence of misconduct in public office.
“On Thursday, we arrested a man in his sixties from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
“The arrested man has now been released under investigation.
“We can also confirm that our searches in Norfolk have now concluded.”
Drama as black Range Rover takes Andrew away from Aylesham Police Station
According to reporters, a black Range Rover arrived at Aylsham police investigation centre at approximately 6.50pm.
The driver tried to get in via an electronic gate but was unable to do so as it was broken.
He went in via another entrance after waiting 10 minutes.
Five minutes later a large garage door in the building opened and two cars could be seen, including the Range Rover.

It drove past the waiting reporters but a photographer was able to take a picture of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor trying to lie down on the back seat.
Thames Valley Police update expected as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor released
As Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is released from police custody after almost 12 hours.
He left Aylesham Police Station in a vehicle and appeared to lie slightly back in his seat.
Thames Valley Police have not given any further information.

Virginia Giuffre’s family celebrate ‘win’ of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest
Virginia Giuffre’s family “celebrated” upon hearing that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor had been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
Amanda Roberts, who is married to Ms Giuffre’s brother Sky Roberts, told the BBC Newsnight: “We are hopeful that this investigation now starts to open up that further probe into the sexual assault allegations… it is still a win.”
Ms Giuffre, who died in 2025 and was a prominent accuser of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, previously alleged Andrew had sex with her three times as a teenager.

The ex-Duke of York has always denied the claim and reached an out-of-court settlement with ms Giuffre in 2022 which contained no admission of liability or apology.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor remains in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office over his ties to paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.
The former prince, who became the first senior royal in modern history to be arrested, is accused of sharing sensitive information with Epstein while serving as the UK’s trade envoy.
His brother, the King, said “the law must take its course” after expressing his “deepest concern” over the arrest, which came after millions of files were released by the US Department of Justice in relation to the Epstein scandal.

The designer presented Charles with a scarf and took control with organising a picture for a large group of media, telling the King “Let’s do a nice photo, ready, OK, come on, cheesy smile.”
