Katie Hopkins was dramatically ejected from an east London pub during England’s World Cup clash with Croatia after a heated confrontation with fellow football fans.

The controversial media personality reportedly found herself at the centre of an angry stand-off while watching England’s opening tournament fixture at the Dundee Arms in Bethnal Green on Wednesday evening.

Video footage obtained by Sell Us Your Story appears to show tensions boiling over inside the packed pub as a man instructs Hopkins to leave.

The former Apprentice contestant can then be heard telling him to ‘f*** off’ before appearing to lunge towards another man in the crowd.

As the situation escalates, patrons begin chanting: ‘Katie, Katie, you’re a c***.’

Hopkins responds by raising her middle finger and shouting ‘f*** you’ at those gathered around her.

The footage appears to show her then shoving a man believed to be the pub’s landlord before heading towards the exit.

As she leaves, cheers erupt from inside the venue.

The confrontation continues outside, with Hopkins seemingly pushing away phones as bystanders attempt to film her departure.

One witness told MyLondon: ‘I think she was kicked out because of her racism and general views. The vibe of the pub was that people didn’t want her there. I was surprised she was served at all.’

The incident is the latest controversy involving Hopkins, who has built a career around provocative opinions and inflammatory public statements.

The 50-year-old first came to national attention on The Apprentice in 2007 before becoming one of Britain’s most divisive media figures through newspaper columns, television appearances and radio hosting roles.

Over the years, Hopkins has repeatedly sparked outrage over comments relating to immigration, race, social class and religion.

In 2017, she left radio station LBC following comments she made on social media in the aftermath of the Manchester Arena bombing.

She has also faced multiple high-profile legal battles, including a defamation case brought by food writer Jack Monroe after a dispute on social media.

In 2020, her Twitter account was permanently suspended for violating the platform’s hateful conduct policy, although it was later reinstated after the site’s change in ownership.

Hopkins has remained a polarising figure, retaining a loyal following while attracting fierce criticism from opponents who argue her rhetoric has crossed the line from controversial into offensive.

That division was on full display in Bethnal Green this week, where what began as an evening watching England’s World Cup campaign quickly descended into a very public row.

Whether the incident was fuelled by Hopkins’ political views, her public profile or simply football-fuelled tensions, those inside the pub appeared united on one point: they wanted her gone.

Representatives for Katie Hopkins have been contacted for comment.
