A man in his 60s has died after being stabbed in the chest, sparking a murder investigation.
The alarm was raised after reports of a stabbing at an address on Westbury Road, Walthamstow, in east London.
Officers were called shortly before 9pm yesterday.
Paramedics and the police found a man with stab wounds to his chest.
Despite their efforts to save his life, he died of his injuries at the scene.
His next-of-kin is being informed, Met Police said.
Now four men have been taken into custody following the fatal incident.
Two of them are in their 20s and two are in their 50s.
They were all arrested later yesterday evening on suspicion of murder.
People are urged to come forward with any information.
Detective Chief Inspector Joanna Yorke, leading the investigation, said: ‘We are working around the clock to understand exactly what led to this man’s murder.
‘While four men have now been arrested, this remains an early-stage investigation and we still need information from the public.
‘If you saw or heard anything, or have any details that could assist us, please come forward.’
