A restaurant that would have Garfield losing his mind is set to open in London at the end of February, offering all-you-can-eat lasagna.

Senza Fondo (which means ‘without end’ in Italian), is a new Italian-American spot that will be launching in Shoreditch on February 24 and making all our foodie dreams come true by offering bottomless lasagna for just £20.

Options for this include a slow cooked beef shin lasagna, or artichoke lasagna, and these are joined on the menu by dishes like pizzette with pepperoni and hot honey, fettuccine alfredo, aubergine parmigiana, and deep fried mozzarella sticks.

There will be sharing meals available as well as daily off-menu specials such as burnt lasagna ends. *Drools*.

And if you’ve still got room, you can round off a meal here with a classic Tiramisu or opt for wood fired apple pie served with olive oil gelato.

If all this weren’t enough, once the restaurant is up and running, they’re planning on opening a lunchtime hatch, with limited daily run of something known as a ‘lasangwich’ — presumably some kind of epic lasagna sandwich.

Cocktails on the menu include a manhattan, limoncello spritz, margarita, and an old fashioned – but don’t worry if you prefer beer, as you’ll be able to pick from a selection of Italian drinks as well.

And if you thought the £20 bottomless lasagna sounded like a good deal, wait until you see that the house Negroni is just £5 if you order it before having food (otherwise it’s £9.50).

‘I always like to arrive at a restaurant early to head to the bar — soaking in the atmosphere, getting a drink and just witnessing the magic of dining out. It gets me all giddy for what’s to come,’ says Joe Worthington, the restaurant’s owner.

Joe has worked in the hospitality industry for years, working on luxury cruise ships and in restaurants across Spain, Canada and Australia, before spending time with the Hawksmoor group and Drake & Morgan in the UK.

He’s bringing all that he’s learned to his first-ever restaurant, which promises ‘big plates and big energy’, with Chef Michael Bagnall at the helm of the kitchen.

‘It’s always been my dream to open my own restaurant,’ Joe explains. ‘London’s restaurant scene is in a great place, but I’ve seen a gap for bigger plates and bigger energy.

‘I believe there is truly nothing better than having dinner with friends, family or anyone in between, and my restaurant will be all about the people.’

He adds: ‘When great people come together, magic happens — and that’s what Senza Fondo is all about. That, and serving the best lasagna in London.’

On social media, people are already getting hyped for the opening saying it’s going to be ‘awesome’, they’re ‘obsessed’ and that ‘2025 has just got a whole lot tastier’ in comments on Instagram.

For those keen to give it a try when it opens, Senza Fondo is located at 1 Rufus St, London N1 6PE and reservations will be available soon.

This isn’t the only new opening in London of late, as Gordon Ramsay recently opened the highest restaurants in the city.

The impressive eateries are located on the 60th of 22 Bishopsgate, an eye-watering 269 metres above the ground.

Here you’ll find a new version of Gordon’s iconic Lucky Cat restaurant, as well as Lucky Cat Bar, and a luxury chef’s table experience known as Restaurant Gordon Ramsay High.

The latter, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay High, is the most interesting and exclusive of the new openings, with just 12 seats positioned to face the floor-to-ceiling-windows, looking out over London.

While the new Lucky Cat restaurant and bar is the fourth restaurant of its kind, offering a ‘unique Asian dining experience’. This is located on the same floor as Restaurant Gordon Ramsay High, meaning it offers the same panoramic views of the capital, with 360-degree views.

In other London foodie news, a popular pub that’s beloved by celebrities has recently been crowned as having the best value set menu of 2025

This accolade went to The Devonshire for its three-course, £29 meal deal, which includes a prawn and langoustine cocktail to start, skirt steak, chips and bearnaise sauce for the main event, and sticky toffee pudding to finish.
